Dr. Thomason holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and worked in system software development for IBM for over 40 years. He was elected a charter member of the IBM Academy of Technology. He has taught at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Virginia Polytechnic Institute of Technology, and Oklahoma State University and began teaching at SUNY Ulster in 2013.
